Brief history
Founded in 1991, UNIMA Sweden is a non-profit making association addressed to all who are interested in puppet theatre: amateurs, professionals, organizers or spectator.

Important projects and achievements
UNIMA Sweden, on its own or in co-operation with others, arranges for foreign puppet theatres to perform in Sweden, thus providing the opportunity for members to develop contacts with international artists. UNIMA Sweden aspires to spread interest in puppet theatre through exhibitions and information with, for example, lectures and demonstrations.

Michael Meschke honored by the swedish king

In sweden, Michael Meschke was honored by the king during a ceremony at the Royal Palace of Stockholm where he received the Kings Medal for meritorious services as a theatre manager.
