Uses of puppetry in situations of trauma with:

Coby Omvlee, Antje Wegener & Karim Dakhroub

UNIMA Nordic will hold an online round table discussion at 14h (CET) on Saturday 12th October on the theme of ‘Uses of puppetry in situations of trauma’. The speakers are experienced and talented therapists, social workers, puppeteers and artists: Coby Omvlee (Norway); Antje Wegener (Germany) and Karim Dakhroub PhD (Lebanon). All have many years of experience of presenting and facilitating questions of expression following situations of illness, trauma, war and other life crises.

The speakers will present their work and discuss possible approaches that puppeteers could use in contemporary social crises including war, loss and migrancy due to political crisis. The discussion will be introduced and moderated by Daria Ivanova and Cariad Astles.

The event will be held in English. A video recording with Ukrainian translation of the event will be sent to all registered participants.

The lecture will be online on Saturday 12. October at 14:00 CET. Don´t forget to register in advance.
