Union Internationale de la Marionnette

Non-Governmental Organization affiliated to UNESCO

The international association of puppet-friendly cities (in French association des villes amies de la marionnette, AVIAMA) is an association which aims at bringing together whole world’s towns and local governments around the puppet.

The AVIAMA aims to promote and suport the arts of the puppet. In doing so, cities and local governments which are members wish that the arts of the puppets serve as means in the development of their territory and participate in the lighting up of their population.

The AVIAMA wishes to bring together those cities around their common support to this very special artistic expression, so they can share their experiences, find resources and unite for a better recognition of this always blooming art.
