Councils

Last updated: 11-10-2022

A council meeting is held at least once between two congresses. This meeting is held in principle two years after the last congress.

The council is convened by the general secretary in agreement with the president. The location of a council is determined by the executive committee.

Composition of council

It is made up of the councillors of every member country, democratically elected before each congress, also of accredited representatives and ten supplementary councillors elected at the congress. It meets every two years, one of these outside congress.

Council’s functions

On the occasion of congresses and councils, it talks about activities and the main directions of UNIMA (number and name of different commissions, activity reports, etc.). Its vote is requested to validate various decisions on the agenda.
