Surrounded by President Jean-Luc FÉLIX, her team, volunteers from the festival and many elected officials and representatives of the City and the Department of Ardennes, as well by puppeteer friends and professionals, Anne-Françoise CABANIS, director of the Festival Mondial de Marionettes (World Puppetry Festival) of Charleville-Mézières, was decorated on Sunday September 25th by Philippe VAILLANT with the médaille of the Order of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, which was awarded in January 2016 by the Minister of Culture, Mrs Fleur PELLERIN.
In her speech, Anne-Françoise Cabanis looked back on her personal career and her arrival in the direction of the World Festival. Warmly applauded, she thanked her family, all her loved ones, her collaborators and volunteers, as well as elected oficials for their support, without forgetting all of the many puppeteers who have made the World Festival, since its creation by Jacques Félix, the puppetry arts event not to be missed.
