Our dear friend, colleague and honorary president of UNIMA Margareta Niculescu passed away on the 19th of august 2018.
We want to salute and honor her great contribution and life’s work for puppet theatre. We are indebted for her tremendous contribution for Puppetry art, which has touched millions of artists all over the world.
May her soul rest in everlasting peace and may all of us keep her memory alive…

Today one of the stars of the UNIMA extinguished, of those who guided us, by its only presence, its precious teachings.
Of course, other sparkling stars preceded him, such as J. Malík, S. Obraztsov, H. Jurkowski, M. Arreche.
But we can never forget that she created, with J. Félix, the International Puppetry Institute, the ESNAM, in Charleville-Mézières.
As a basic member living in Charleville, I had the immense honor to be received, sometimes, by her.
Today it’s a figure of the puppetry world who leaves us, who let orphans, so much member, so much students.
It is a part of the historical UNIMA that has gone.
Maestra ejemplar que siempre regaló con generosidad su pensamiento luminoso; pero también, sobre todo, amiga. En Sevilla no te olvidaremos.
