Fabrizio Montecchi

Fabrizio Montecchi is an Italian director, scenographer, and educator. From 1977 to 2022, he participated in an important artistic experience with Teatro Gioco Vita, during which he worked on the development of shadow theatre. He has directed more than sixty productions and is considered one of the greatest directors of contemporary shadow theatre. Since 2019, he has been the educational director of the Animateria training center in Italy.

He received the 2013 Transmission Award from the International Institute of Puppetry in Charleville-Mézières.
