UNIMA sometimes receives information and support requests from people, countries and festivals that live some obstacles or importants difficulties.

The El-Khakawati Theater, the Palestine National Theatre in East Jérusalem has been asked to close the Festival by the authorities, due to various reasons.

Puppeteers in Israel and from other countries have signed petitions in internet and letters of support against this decision.
