To welcome in 2021, UNIMA’s 3 Americas Commission is presenting
the latest edition of the online-magazine, LA HOJA DEL TITIRITERO, this time, dedicated to puppet theater in the United States.
This special edition is bilingual (Spanish and English) and has valuable articles and photos by prominent personalities, historians and scholars from the US.
This edition closes the Commission’s project that started in 2017, a total of 12 publications dedicated to Puppetry Art in the Americas.

In fact, even if the communications are not made into all; our organization has, on the paper, 5 oficial langues and not only 3 as written in the article from Karen Smith about the WEPA
Our current Statutes are clear about this point, because the paragraph §5 (Official Languages of UNIMA) is saying “The languages adopted by UNIMA are French, German, English, Russian and Spanish……….”.
I don’t speak German, neither Russian; but, at least, not to take them into account seems me to forget a great part of the world (especially all the nations of the former Sovietic block)

cela me fait plaisir que tu mentionnes ce point car jusqu’au présent, je trouve que notre organisation a été centrée sur les langues latines et anglaise, alors que, historiquement, nous sommes aussi germaniques et slaves.
Malheureusement, je ne pense pas qu’on pourrait fournir et faire vivre un site en 5 langues :-).

Acabo de leer La Hoja de Titiritero Nº 12 y felicito a todos los involucrados en la edición de la Revista. Sin duda, una hermosa edición que nos da una idea de una parte importante de la historia del teatro de marionetas en los Estados Unidos, pero también aborda temas importantes del presente. Destaco particularmente los textos de Kathy Foley y Karem Smith. Es de suma importancia reflexionar sobre la presencia de artistas negras y femeninas en la historia de nuestro arte.
