The oldest Spanish puppeteer, Sebastià Vergés i Cadena, died on Sunday 25th May 2014, at the age of 85, after a long illness.
Master of many puppeteers, born in Barcelona in 1929, Sebastià Vergés learned the work with his father. His father founded a puppet company, which is managed now by his son, at the beginning of the 20th century.
According the specialists of Verges, he is considered as a sober and elegant and he was really il a été particularly good in the danse scènes, probably because he was a great dancer.
