The webinars will be held once every two months, in English, Spanish or French (the official UNIMA languages). Duration: 40 to 45 minutes plus 20 to 40 minutes for Q&A and sharing experiences with participants. Maximum duration: 90 minutes.

This webinar seeks to acquaint the audience with the specific features of puppet work in education, development and therapy, explaining the basic concepts and constitutive elements of puppet performance in these fields. Puppetry is a powerful medium of expression and it is important to know how to use puppets to their full potential. As soon as they appear on the stage, puppets give us a great deal of information. In “live” (drama) theatre, actors would have to use other methods to show as much. Puppets speak by their very appearance (their shape, colour, size, proportions), the puppet animation technique applied, and the materials used to make them. The relationship between human manipulators and puppets is also important. Together, all of these make up a puppet’s means of expression.
