Union Internationale de la Marionnette

Non-Governmental Organization affiliated to UNESCO

Our art is very old and has a great history, but of all time it involves special people – young in their heart and their soul, full of enthusiasm – the puppeteers! That is why the UNIMA Youth Commission is preparing a video presentation and wants to invite the largest number of puppeteers from all over the world to its creation. For the creation of this video, we need your help.

We kindly ask you to send us a short video of your daily professional puppeteer’s life, whether in rehearsal, puppet making and construction, conducting master classes, lectures, library work, preparation of exhibitions, puppet drawing, meetings with colleagues, designing a festival – all that is your daily puppeteer’s life in your country.

All the films received will be included in a presentation film that will bring together puppeteers from around the world.

How to do?

  • Creating a video is simple: you start a video clip and look into the camera and say “My usual puppetry day”, both in English and in your native language.
  • The video should be in 1280 x 720 HD format (you can create it on some cameras).
  • Send your video (as an attached file or via a Youtube link) before 1st May 2017 to panidariya@gmail.com with the subject “Youth Commission: for presentation”. Please indicate your name, company name, links to website and / or Facebook page.
