To ease the payment of the annual membership fees to the UNIMA General Secretary and to allow some National Centres to save money on transferring the amount of their fees, you may opt to send your membership fees to UNIMA International’s PayPal account.

Should you do so, we kindly ask you to indicate clearly: “Membership fees “year(s) + Country” as reason of the money transfer (Example: Membership Fees 2016 – Australia). Please also continue the usual process of updating the Secretariat, contact@unima.org, with your membership list so they may send the invoice of your centre.

NB: this possibility is only open for payment of membership fees from National Centres and cannot be used to pay individual membership fees, as per paragraph 2.3 of UNIMA’s statutes; only a UNIMA National Centre that receives memberships of its members.

For direct members, i.e. UNIMA members without a National Centre, payments shall be dealt on a case by case basis with the General Secretary.

Representation Fund

Support the UNIMA Representation Fund

Previously known as the Travel Fund, the Representation Fund was established to allow the active participation of all elected councillors in the work for UNIMA; the most fundamental being the attendance of official UNIMA meetings – namely Congress and Council meetings – as well the observation of Executive Committee meetings. With the progress and development of affordable and effective video conferencing, UNIMA International has amended the call for the support of travel costs to the support of digital web conferencing for all of UNIMA’s elected councillors.

If you would like UNIMA to be a world organisation not just in theory, but the actual meeting of minds to promote and sustain the art of puppetry all across the world; if you do wish to promote cultural exchange, international friendship and solidarity; and if you would like access to the experiences and practices of puppet artists, managers, and crafts of all regions of the world; do consider donating to the Representation Fund. Any sum, large or small, are welcome.

Please indicate “Representation Fund” as the reason for the Paypal or banking transfer (see banking details below).

The Representation Fund will not cover more than the costs of attending Council, Congress, or the observation of Executive Committee meetings. This may include web access, rental of audio and video equipment, translation fees, and other hosting charges incurred. Taking UNIMA’s available funds into account, the Board (President, Vice-Presidents, General Secretary, and Treasurer) shall prioritise the disbursement of funds to lend as much diversity in the representation of our puppet arts and human cultures as possible. Recipients and donors will be kept anonymous.
