Registrations open for the Summer School courses at Centro del Títere
Intensive courses for adults from 3rd to 14th July

Centro del Títere inaugurates the second Summer School with a program of intensive courses for adults from 3rd to 14th of July. Centro del Títere summer school pretend enabling access to training on puppets to professionals and people interested in performing arts who wish to approach or deepen into specific aspects of puppeteer art.

This year the following courses will be taught:

Light and volume. Lighting concepts for the performance

From 3rd to 7th July

A practical course to learn the fundamental concepts of light on stage. An opportunity to go deep into the technical aspects of light and its use as a dramatic element. This is a 29-hour course.

Puppet workshop. Build your own string puppet

From 11th to 14th July

A practical string puppet workshop on construction and animation. Participants will be able to take home its self-made puppet. This is a 24-hour course.

Centro del Títere is a space devoted to puppet arts located in Alcorcón (Madrid, Spain). It was opened in December 2021, and it welcomes professionals and any people interested in puppetry. It has a specialized and regular training school, an artist in residence program, exhibitions, an archive, and a venue (Polichinela Theatre). The center offers courses, shows and several kinds of activities for all types of audience with the puppet as protagonist.
