From April 19th to April 24th, 2016, the city of Matanzas, recognized throughout Cuba as the capital of the puppets, would become one more time, a giant puppet stage raised in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, hosting the 12th edition of the International Puppet Workshop/Festival of Matanzas (TITIM), the feast of the marionettes and actors which, since 1994, has been celebrated on the island every two years.Thematic workshops for professionals and amateurs, performances, theoretical events, concerts, lectures, exhibitions and presentations of specialized books, amongst other artistic activities, would invade again the well named city of the bridges and rivers, as well of the marionettes, to spend an unforgettable week.The 2016 edition will celebrate the 60 years of the National Guiñol of Cuba, first professional group within our territory, creator of the puppet Pelusín del Monte, as well the writer Dora Alonso.Theatrical surprises and an always warm climate from human and atmosphere point of view, are expecting you since today.
