Nosrat Karimi (1924-2019), Iranian puppet master, animation and cinema master, sculptor and actor passed away on 3 December 2019 in Tehran. He was a puppetry and animation pioneer and trained many students throughout his fruitful life.
He was the Mobarak UNIMA honorary member, and UNIMA-Iran introduced him to International UNIMA as one of the UNIMA honorary members last year. Our condolences to his dear family and all of the artists of Iranian puppetry and animation society.
Our group DOLLS THEATER participated in the Mubarak Ftestival at Teheran in the year of 2000 snd 2002, and we meet Mr. Karimi at Teheran. He also came our country in the year 2003. It will be great loss for Puppetry World.
