Brief history
Created at the instigation of “La Compagnie du Fil”, UNIMA Burkina Faso is going through a questioning of the evolution of the practice of puppetry in the country. Despite financial difficulties, UNIMA Burkina Faso continues to welcome new members, to be consulted and to follow the structures engaged in the development of the puppetry arts in Africa.

Important projects and achievements
Since its creation, the Centre has been engaged with the structures and events which have expressed a need: Project “Filigrane”, managed by La Compagnie du Fil since 2007; Young Spectators’s International Theater Festival (FITJP) organized by “Theatre Éclair” since 2009; international meetings of arts and culture in Adzopé /Republic of Ivory Coast in collaboration with UNIMA Ivory Coast, since 2010.
