The puppet theatre company “The cherry orchard” was founded in Ioannina, in 2014 by
Gianna Noti and Evita Aggeli. We create a place for children and we desired to educate them through arts. We usually choose a literature text, we transformed it for every age group and we play it with puppets. We search for music and drawings with the same theme. After we play theatre in this theme and paint our emotions.
Also, we are performing in schools and municipalities around Epirus, a region in northwestern Greece, with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The selection of the texts used for the performances is based on pedagogical criteria and the subject matter is with regard to children’s interests and concerns.
The puppet theatre company “The cherry orchard” also organizes seminars for puppet construction and animation for children and adults.
