We would like to kindly inform you that the 36th edition of the International Theatrical Festival VALISE will be held from May 31 to June 3, 2023 at the Puppet and Actor Theater in Łomza. For 35 years, the festival has matured, repeatedly undergone programmatic transformation, reacted to newer and newer trends in contemporary theater, social changes, the history of the changing world and made the dreams of artists come true.

Each edition of this important international event enables the flow of artistic ideas, exchange of experiences and provides a space for puppetry meetings in a unique atmosphere. The festival is a review of the most interesting, valuable performances by outstanding artists and renowned theaters from around the world. The program each time is the result of careful verification and has the character of a competition. An integral part of the review is an open-air part called “My City”, which includes interesting non-competitive events. The open formula of the festival, the richness of forms, phenomena and a variety of events makes the festival not only a celebration of puppeteers, but also of city residents.

We want to highlight the next edition of this important international event with an interesting and rich program, so you are cordially invited to send applications for performances. Enclosed we send the rules and regulations and the entry form. Each theater may submit a maximum of two performances to the competition.
