1st Georgian Puppet Theatre Showcase

UNIMA Georgia invites puppet and experimental theatre festivals, programmers, producers and all puppetry professionals who are open for partnership, co-productions, exchange and networking to the 1st Georgian Puppet Theatre Showcase, taking place 5–7 June 2026 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The Showcase marks one of the first international activities organised by UNIMA Georgia. Georgia is home to a vibrant puppetry scene with 7 state puppet theatres, around 5 private theatres, puppet projects at drama theatres, and many independent projects. Audiences can discover a rich mix of adult and children’s shows, as well as a diversity of forms including traditional puppets, marionettes, hand shadows and finger theatre.

Selected guests, based on applications, will be funded with accommodation, meals, transportation and free access to all programmes. Places are limited.
