Professionnal meeting at the FMTM (Charleville-Mézières)
Professional meeting : Conducting international cooperation in the current geopolitical and ecological context
In recent years, the structural changes we have been witnessing on a global scale have led us to question the ways in which we build international cooperation projects in the performing arts sector. There is an urgent need to reflect on new paths for cooperation. Faced with the ecological and geopolitical challenges we are encountering, how can we continue to develop international cooperation projects? In this increasingly complex global context, how can we envision other ways of operating? How can we invent or reinvent new modes of international cooperation, in keeping with the spirit of innovation that has characterized this sector for over 50 years?
We will seek to contribute to this reflection in the presence of: David Irle, independent eco-advisor associated with the Bureau des Acclimatations and author on ecological transition issues; Vanessa Silvy, Project Manager for Circus, Street Arts, and Puppetry at the Institut Français; Marie Le Sourd, Secretary General of On the Move; Céline Portes, member of the Board of Directors of Arviva – Arts vivants, arts durables, and General Delegate of the ensemble Correspondances; Élise Vigneron, Artistic Director of Théâtre de l’Entrouvert; Charlène Faroldi, Production and Touring Manager of Cie Bakélite; and Blair Thomas, Director of the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival.
The meeting will be moderated by Antoine Pecqueur, independent journalist and author of Atlas of Culture – From Soft Power to Hard Power: How Culture Takes Power.
