Museo “La Casa delle Marionette”
The Casa delle Marionette preserves the precious Monticelli Collection, a cornerstone of Italian puppet theatre since 1840. Curated by the Monticelli family and Teatro del Drago, it includes 63 puppets, 150 burattini, 132 scenic sets, 133 handwritten scripts, and extensive touring materials.

Recognized as the world’s smallest puppet museum, it safeguards the heritage of the Preti family, puppeteers across four generations. Named after Leo Pederzani Preti (1903–1969), the collection features 65 puppets, finely painted sets, historic theatres, and archival materials dating back to 1886.
