We stand by the principles of UNESCO and affirm our commitment to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, and are against the conflicts that destabilize any person’s right to cultural life and expression. As the oldest international performing arts organization UNIMA bears a particular responsibility. Now is the time to raise our voice and reaffirm our commitment — respect human rights, uphold international law, and protect culture — which are the foundations for peace, dignity, and our shared future.
