UNESCO Launches Fourth Edition of Re|Shaping Policies for Creativity Report
18 February 2026 · UNESCO Headquarters, Paris
UNESCO will present the fourth edition of its landmark Re|Shaping Policies for Creativity report on 18 February 2026 at its Paris headquarters, marking the 20th anniversary of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
The report draws on data from more than 120 countries to assess how governments are translating the Convention’s vision into concrete policy action. It examines emerging trends, persistent challenges, and new opportunities across cultural and creative industries at a time when digital transformation and growing global inequalities are reshaping who can create, produce, and access culture.
The launch event will bring together leading authors and specialists from across the cultural and creative sectors. Through evidence-based analysis and policy-oriented recommendations, it will highlight pathways to strengthen inclusive and sustainable governance frameworks and create the conditions for creativity to thrive.
Registration is mandatory. The event takes place from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM in Room I at UNESCO Headquarters, with live streaming available in English and French.
