The festival was held for the first time in 1958, on the initiative of a few art lovers for children, but it soon turned into a large and complex festival mechanism of an international character. This multimedia cultural manifestation is a sort of review of the best in creativity for children and children’s creativity.
The festival nurtures three main contents: holding an annual review of selected ensembles from Croatia and abroad (creativity for children), a workshop program as a form of direct involvement of children in the creative act (children’s creativity and education) and organizing a symposium on the topic of artistic creativity and aesthetic education of children (professional -scientific aspect).
A special feature of the Festival are children’s art workshops, of which around 16 are organized every year in the field of visual culture, video and film art, stage creation, literature,…
