5th COLLOQUIUM ON PUPPET THERAPY WITHOUT BORDERS:
“PUPPETS, NEURODIVERSITY, AND CAREGIVERS”
“A Different Way of Perceiving the World”
Saturday, November 15 – Monday, November 17, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mexico City time.
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we present the 5th Virtual Colloquium—marking the fifth anniversary of our collective dedicated to supporting people through puppetry across life’s journey, both personally and professionally.
On this occasion, the colloquium aims to highlight new ways of conceiving, reframing, and communicating neurological differences and how, through puppets, we can contribute to greater knowledge, acceptance, and inclusion of neurodivergence breaking down stigmas related to behavior, thinking, feeling, perceiving, and communicating, while building educational, family, emotional, and community environments that celebrate unique strengths.
Through therapeutic, educational, and family approaches with puppets, we can promote understanding and respect for the possibilities and needs of children with autism as a form of neurodivergence and its nuances within the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) diagnosis.
Equally important, we aim to give visibility to caregivers who support people with autism in their lives and/or environments, thus creating a space of meaning, support, and exchange for this experience, which involves intense multidimensional emotional and social demands in a constantly changing world.
To this end, we invite those interested in sharing one or more puppetry performances.
The Colloquium is open to 24 PARTICIPANTS/PERFORMANCES in Spanish, each with a maximum of 10 minutes, presenting proposals on puppet-based approaches for people with neurodivergence on the autism spectrum and their caregivers. If music is used, it must be original or copyright-free.
There will be 9 workshops, each workshop consists of 2 or 3 performances. At the end of each workshop, there will be a brief Q&A session with the audience.
We will use Facebook Live and YouTube streaming platforms.
For participants and attendees, a certificate of participation will be awarded.
Those interested in participating are asked to send the following information to titeroterapia@gmail.com before October 26, 2025:
