Brief history
After the UNIMA Congress in Washington in 1980, Bertha S. Lizalde was named the UNIMA representative in Mexico. A group of puppeteers met and founded a Centre with 50 puppeteers at the end of 1980. The Mexican national Centre was officially recognized in November 1981 during the Executive Committee meeting in Varna, Bulgaria.
UNIMA Mexico is composed of seven delegations : Delegación DF, Delegación Tlaxcala, Delegación Sureste, Delegación Morelia, Delegación Veracruz, Delegación Sinaloa, Delegación Aguascalientes.
