Puppet Power 2025: A Call for Stories – Share Your Roots Through Puppetry!

18th-19th October 2025.

Puppetry is more than play—it’s a powerful way to express identity, preserve culture, and spark social change. Our conference, Puppet Power 2025, explores the complex topic of immigration through the creative lens of puppetry, and we’re inviting you to be part of the story. We want to hear from new Canadians and individuals from around the world: tell us how puppetry has shaped your journey, your culture, or your community.

 How to contribute:

  1. Reflect on a meaningful puppetry experience—childhood memories, cultural traditions, or social impact.
  2. Record a 30-second video sharing your story.
  3. Upload your video, a short bio, and completed media release through the submission form on our website – www.wppuppet.com/puppet-power. If you need help with filming just reach out to admin@wppuppet.com.

Stories will be featured online, in our communications, and in a special playlist premiere at Puppet Power 2025—celebrating puppetry across cultures and its power to connect.

Deadline: September 30, 2025. Submit early for a chance to be featured sooner!

Let your story inspire. Let your voice be heard. Join us in bringing puppetry across cultures to life.

Presented together with the UNIMA Education, Development and Therapy Commission, Puppet Power 2025 is a two-day hybrid event, taking place in person and online October
18 – 19, 2025. Early bird registration now available.
