Centro del Títere in Madrid (Spain) opens registration for the Performing Arts Specialist Degree in the discipline of Puppet and Object Theatre, a two-year training to become a puppeteer, taught by prestigious professionals with years of experience in the world of puppetry, visual and object theatre.

This is the second promotion of Centro del Títere’s School, which will run from October 2025 to June 2027, and whose enrolment period is open until May 30.

The specialist course proposes a transversal and integral approach that combines knowledge of the performing and plastic arts. Thus, the training puts special focus on making and offers other subjects such as interpretation, manipulation, voice, directing or dramaturgy, among others. All this is accompanied by monographs that allow the deepening of techniques such as glove, shadows, string puppetry or objects, and aspects such as financing and distribution.
This is an eminently practical training that allows the acquisition of the tools and skills necessary to become a professional in puppet and object theatre. The objective is that each student can create his/her own show, work in each of the phases of the process or be part of a puppet company.

Centro del Títere is managed by the Fundación El Arte del Títere, promoted by the puppet company La Tartana Teatro. Inaugurated in December 2021, Centro del Títere -located in Alcorcón- has become a reference space for professionals and puppet lovers.
