UNIMA‘s Emergency Aid Program
As we approach the final days of 2025, this is a wonderful moment to reflect on the resilience of the global puppetry community—and to make a meaningful difference. UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionnette) invites you to join us in solidarity by supporting our Emergency Aid for Puppeteers initiative, a lifeline for artists facing extraordinary hardships.
Managed confidentially by the Cooperation Commission and UNIMA staff, the program provides essential aid to puppeteers and members enduring crises such as war, natural disasters, economic difficulties, or serious illness. Funds help cover critical needs like food, medical and hygiene supplies, etc. ensuring that the magic of puppetry endures through even the toughest times.
Aid is delivered with complete respect for dignity and privacy, with anonymity protected and no contributions required from recipients.
How to Request Support If you or a colleague needs assistance:
- Head to www.unima.org/en/sendaid/ and click the “Ask For Aid” tab to submit the online form.
- Contact your national UNIMA Center (find the list on our website).
- Email cooperation@unima.org with your details for prompt, compassionate review.
