UNIMA Humanitas Commission Launches a New Video Series
In celebration of UNIMA International’s 96th anniversary, the UNIMA Humanitas Commission is proud to announce the launch of a new video series, beginning 20th May 2025. This initiative will be streamed via UNIMA International’s YouTube channel.
This special series highlights the essential human values that puppetry promotes — peace, mutual understanding, cultural dialogue, and respect for fundamental human rights, as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). The series aims to reach puppetry artists and enthusiasts worldwide, showcasing puppetry as a tool for artistic therapy, social connection, and cultural preservation.
First Episode: Featuring Mr. Shiavash Sattari

The series begins with a conversation featuring Mr. Shiavash Sattari, President of UNIMA Mobarak-Iran. Mr. Sattari shares insight into the unique power of puppetry to educate, inspire, and build bridges between communities. His work is a testimony to how puppetry can serve as both an art form and a spiritual journey—awakening empathy, connecting hearts, and nurturing a deeper understanding among people.

Following the talk, we invite you to a special documentary premiere:
“Lobet-Baz”, directed by Pouria Nouri, will be streamed globally via YouTube Premiere. The film reflects on the passion and perseverance of a master of Kheimeh Shab-Bazi (Iranian traditional puppet theatre) as he grapples with generational change and seeks new audiences across Iran.
