CALL FOR APPLICATIONS OF PUPPET AND CHILDREN’S PERFORMANCES
FOR THE 30TH REVIEW OF THE PUPPET THEATRES IN RIJEKA, CROATIA
Rijeka City Puppet Theatre, Croatia is delighted to announce that the jubilee 30th Review of Puppet Theatres will be held from November 3rd to 11th, 2025, in Rijeka, Croatia. This festival aims to showcase exceptional puppet performances, primarily targeting preschool and early school-age children.
Call for Applications:
We invite professional theatres, artistic organizations, and theatre associations engaged in puppetry to submit their performances for consideration. Each theatre may submit one performance.
The application deadline is March 17th, 2025, and selection results will be announced by June 30th, 2025. The organizer reserves the right to include performances by invitation.
Selection Criteria:
The primary criterion for selection is the artistic quality of the performance. While the focus is on productions for younger audiences, all outstanding puppet performances are welcome.
Festival Provisions:
- Performance Fee: Each selected theatre will receive a fee covering one to three performances, totaling €700 (negotiable).
- Accommodation: Hotel lodging with breakfast for up to 14 participants.
- Meals: Daily meals provided.
- Technical Support: Comprehensive technical assistance for all performances.
Award:
The festival will present a single accolade—the audience award “Domino.” Interested parties should complete the application form and include:
