It is a national center affiliated with the international organization UNIMA (International Federation of Puppet Artists) that is concerned with spreading the culture of puppet arts in Iraq, and seeks to activate the cultural movement in this field at the level of theater, cinema, television and research through holding workshops, training courses and educational seminars. Scientific conferences, holding theatrical festivals and other specialized activities. It is also interested in supporting its members who are specialists and amateurs in this field, away from any racial, religious or political discrimination, as well as extending bridges of cooperation with the provinces inside Iraq and the active regional centers in the field of puppet arts.
