En Suède, Mickael Meschke a été honoré par le Roi lors d’une cérémonie au Palais Royal de Stockholm, où il a reçu la Médaille des Rois pour des services méritoires en tant que directeur de théâtre. La Médaille des Rois a été instituée vers 1814 et est décernée aux citoyens suédois et étrangers pour des contributions exceptionnelles.

Many of us know Michael Meschke, both through UNIMA as also from Marionette theatre which he founded in Stockholm, as also the 3 year experiment in the mid 70’s at the marionette theatre institute, I was lucky to be a guest student at this school for a year, a short UNIMA scholarship, which was then extended by the Swedish institute.
This stay in Stockholm changed my whole perspective as a puppeteer, from a hobby to Meher Contractor in Ahmedabad, to Michael Meschke in Stockholm and to what I do today… Congratulations to Michael well deserved…!
